Htoo Foundation’s Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony PDF

planting introHtoo Foundation’s Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony and Talk on Biodiversity and Environmental Protection was celebrated on the 3rd August 2013 at Hlawgar Natural Park. The 1300 seedlings were collectively planted near Yay Pyar pond by staff of Htoo Group of Companies who are also members of Htoo Foundation.

testIt has been revamped over the years with an orchid garden sheltering a variety of local and exotic species of orchid, a laboratory for tissue culture, a mini zoo and a bird sanctuary, and has been upgraded to a flora and fauna research centre.

testThe orange plantation at Pyin Oo Lwin was started on 8 December, 2005 employing 33 local employees. The area of the plantation is 395 acres and 38,274 orange trees were planted. The local residents are given both theoretical and practical training on the techniques of planting and nurturing the orange tree.

orchidTo protect the extinction of the natural habitat orchids of Putao region, Htoo Plantation has cultured and preserved the Butterfly orchid and other long life span species and especially the Myanmar orgin Black orchids are cultivated successfully. Black orchids are protected species under the Myanmar Forestry fauna protection act (1).
