Educational awards ceremony for academic year 2012-2013 was held at Htoo Free Boarding
school, Duttan quarter, Putao on the 11th July 2013.
The ceremony was Honored by Thidagu Sayardaw Dr Shin Nyanatethara who attended the
ceremony,he was leading his eye surgeons
who were treating eye patients free of charge.Htoo Foundation’s Patrons U Tayza,U Zaw Mynn
and U Thaw, Putao Divisional Authorities,
Leaders of Leesu, Rawun, Khanteeshan, Gyinphaw ethnic minorities, award winning students
and parents and the community also attended the ceremony.
The ceremony opened at 12:30 in the afternoon, Thidagu Sayardaw gave opening remarks,
Colonel Myint Maung Oo, Divisional Commander
also gave remarks on behalf of the community.Htoo Foundation’s Patron U Tayza explained how
the construction material had to be air lifted
by chartered flights to Putao to build the Boarding school. He said he will continue with the
scholarships for the students who passed the matriculation
class from Htoo Foundation Free boarding school. He also said he will also continue assisting
with the development of Putao region.
He also promised to build and donate an Operation Theatre for the 100 bedded Putao Hospital in
front of Thidagu Sayardaw.
The awards were then given to the Students and teachers who taught the students to have
outstanding results, by Putao Regional Administrative Authorities,
Putao Regional Military Commander, Htoo Foundation’s Patrons U Tayza and U Zaw
Mynn.Word of thanks were returned by Maung Khi See Yae an
outstanding student. A group photo was taken. Lunch was served with Buttered rice to all the
Guests who attended the ceremony.
83 students for Htoo Foundation’s free boarding school entered the exams and 38 students
passed the examination.10 students passed with 1 distinctions.
The percentage of the students who passed from Putao Free Boarding sholl is 45.78%.Additional
to the awards from Htoo Foundation, Patron U Tayza,
awarded Kyats 500,000 to each student who passed with distinctions and Kyats 200,000 each to
the other students. Htoo Foundation is proud assist in the
educational sector of Putao Region and acknowledge the help and donations given from Air
