The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Chin State U Hone
Ngaing, Education and Social Minister Dr Ba Maung
The ceremony started at 2:00 P.M. Chin Traditional Insignia were handed to the Esteem Guests, primary
school students entertained with traditional dances and traditional dances by the Chin National dance
troupe.
At the auspicious time of 2:30 P.M. the Chief Minister U Hone Ngaing, Education and Social Minister Dr
Ba Maung and Htoo Foundation Chairman U Kyaw Thiha cut ribbons and opened the school.
Opening remarks was given by the Chief Minister and Htoo Foundation’s Chairman U Kyaw Thiha
explained the cause of building and donating the school.
All the related documents of the new school building was then handed over to the Kanpetlet Education
Officer.
School uniforms, back packs and stationary for the students were handed over to the Principal.
A Community elder said words of thanks to the Chief Minister and Htoo Foundation Chairman for
attending the Opening and handing over ceremony.
The dimension of the school is 80 ft X 30 ft single story brick nogging. All class room furniture, toilet and
water tank were built together.
Kanpetlet 2 nd quarter is the relocated Htet Shwee village from Nat ma taung forest reserve, the existing
school building cannot accommodate the children from the newly relocated families.
The Donation amounts to 50,000,000 Kyats.
Htoo Foundation is proud to donate the school to the Families who moved from the Nat Ma Taung in
order that the Forest preservation and protection could be done.
