In order to prevent silting of the Inle lake, to keep the mountains surrounding Inle lake lush and green and prevent soil erosion, to discourage farmers from practicing mobile farming and to impart a sense of appreciation for environment to the local people, Htoo Foundation has completed a 100-acres tree plantation at Kandaw village in NyaungShwe township, Southern Shan State.
