U Paw Myint Oo, CEO of Htoo Foundation commented that Htoo Foundation is
proud to be the main sponsor for the Miss Universe Myanmar contest, at the
Press conference held at Kandaw Gyi Palace Hotel, Yangon,is on the 6th
September. This is the first of it’s kind in Myanmar for 50 Years. The winner
will be sent to Moscow in November 2013 where the Miss Universe 2013 will be
selected. He emphasized that Htoo Foundation is proud to be the main sponsor at
the Miss Universe Myanmar event organized by Hello Madam Media Group.
The main reason for the Sponsorship is to promote Myanmar’s future pioneer
Ladies, and show the world that Myanmar Ladies preserve the Myanmar Culture
with civilized personality and a showcase of the World.
The winner selected from this pageant will be awarded as Htoo Foundation’s
Ambassador in the humanitarian work, heath and education assistance,
development, preservation of Myanmar Culture and lending a hand in the Peace
process of ethnic groups. Miss Burma(Myanmar) 1959, 1960 and 1961
represented Burma(Myanmara) at the Miss Universe events, and now in 2013
after 50 years gap Myanmar will again enter the Miss Universe contest which
will be held in 2013 November 2013 at Moscow.
The contestants are not chosen yet. The Interviews will be held on the 12th
September at Kandaw Gyi Palace Hotel. There will be excursion and
humanitarian activities from 26th till 30th September 2013. Preliminary selected
contestants will be trained on the 1st and 2nd October and the final selection will
be on the 3rd October at National Theatre.
All Humanitarian organizations assist in the Peace process, Htoo Foundation
assisted in the Food shortage of the people at IDP camps at Kachin State. (50)
Rice Bags are donated to the camp at Wun Tho Monestary, (100) Rice Bags, (2)
Tube wells, (80) stes of school uniforms for the children attending school, and
(5) sets of uniforms for the teachers. (100) Bags of Rice and Kyats (50) lekhs to
Nan Kwae (Saint Yaw Han) IDP camp. (300) Rice Bags for Hpa Khant IDP
camp, and Rice Bags and cash was donated for the Year 2000 IDPcamp, Robert
school camp, and Ta Gun Taing IDP camps at Ba Maw. (1200) Lekhs Kyats
was donated for the Access road to the Inn Daw Gyi, Shwe Myitzu Pagoda at
Mohnyn. (50) lekhs Kyats each for the Cultural development of the Kachin and
Shan Nationals livimg around Mohyn. During this Ocassion visiting Kachin
State Htoo Foundation donated over Kyats(2000) lekhs for the Region where
Peace is widely needed, and Htoo Foundation is glad to have the opportunity to
be part of the fulfilling the Peace Process of Kachin State.
