Htoo Foundation donated Kyat
10,000,000 worth of medical supplies and food items such as rice, cooking oil, beans and
noodle to victims who were left homeless by flooding in Pakkoku, Pauk, Myaing and
SeikPhyu townships in Pakkoku district, Magway division on 25 October 2011. Cash
donation of Kyat 27,000,000 was also made for the flood victims and a further Kyat
100,000,000 was contributed for the rebuilding of houses swept away by the floods. The total
amount donated was Kyat 237,000,000.
Caused by heavy rains, flood waters
from Yaw Chaung, Chaw Chaung, Yamar Chaung and Myaing Chaung inundated Pakkoku,
Myaing, Pauk and Seik Phyu township and left 106 people and 2,400 heads of domestic
animals dead, seven bridges 2,023 houses and over 3,000 acres crops destroyed.
