Htoo Foundation, in
collaboration with Myanmar Physically Handicapped Association, organized a beauty
contests for invalid ladies at Kandawgyi Utopia Tower in Yangon on 20 August 2011.
Htoo Foundation contributed Kyat 5,050,000 to help fund this contest.
Chairman of the MPHA, U MyatOo, delivered and opening address at the contest
which was followed by musical entertainment by Than Sin Pann Music Band of
MPHA. Thirty five young models took part in the contest where they posed three of
their favourite postures after which they were asked to answer questions about being
physically handicapped and express their ambition in life. The ceremony came to a
close at 6:00 p.m. after personnel of Htoo Foundation and Chairman of MPHA and its
executives presented prizes to the winners.
